What I liked most about the resort was the clothing "optional" aspect of it, which allows for one to disrobe when they want and at there own pace. You have to know her to understand how much that says about Sunny Rest. My wife sceptically joined me at the other two resorts we'd visited, and she was nervous about this one and expected the worst, but awesomely enough - now she is very willingly prepared to go back to Sunny Rest. We've been to two other nudists resorts before and this one was by far the best. And the staff COULD NOT HAVE BEEN ANY NICER. All of the people there pretty much kept to themselves, but were nice, and we did even make a few friends. We had a downright blast in fact! My wife was honesty one of the better looking girls amongst all of the girls at the resort, and she was not hit on, gawked at, and neither of us was harassed by anyone in any manner. But I must say that we did not see a single act of anything even remotely sexually suggestive, did not see anyone doing drugs, and did not experience any rudeness by anyone. The wife and I spent the day/night there this past saturday, and based on some of the comments here, I was fully prepared to deal with anything that came about. Website info is accurate, pictures are current and fees are straightforward. If you're looking for nude recreation, this place is good. However, as we declined those offers, we were still treated nicely and made to feel welcome. Maybe that was an invitation for "more" or a subtle hint at something else. These folks can certainly play with the pros! On occasion, we've been asked if we were staying for the Saturday night party or interested in having a drink together after sundown by other couples. The facilities are clean, the poolside games are non-sexual and fun and, if we had any complaint at all, it'd be that the volleyball games are too competitive. The owners certainly do not, in our experience, encourage or accept any foul play between couples, at least not during the day, and for every "clique" couple, you'll see 2 or 3 families there, many with kids enjoying nudism. Most have residences in or near the grounds and are not the lifestyle type. However, those few folks are not assertive or rude, and represent the minority off visitors. During our visits, yes, we noticed certain "cliques" at the pool - perhaps swingers, perhaps not. Unless you're OK with going nude, we recommend you not visit - and they'd say the same thing. In fact, at the front desk, they clearly point out that SunnyRest is a NUDIST facility, NOT clothing-optional. Once there, and contrary to other reviews (?), we've not seen anyone not enjoying the "nudist" aspect of the grounds.
After that, you'll probably have a challenge getting a lounge chair near the pool area. We can, however, tell you what to likely expect during sunny days. Thus, we cannot comment on the nature of the Saturday night parties, the atmosphere after dark or the accommodations. To be clear - we've done Day Pass visits only. We've visited SunnyRest several times this Summer, and have consistently had a great time.
